responsabilidades

New hybrid opportunity based in Porto, Portugal for a GL Team Lead to lead the Revenue Recognition GL team. The GL Revenue Recognition team is responsible for providing high quality accounting service in the General Ledger for global internal company clients. The Team Leader w ill manage operational process teams and monitor daily operations according to the service level agreements as well as providing advice on incident resolution. Also responsible for analyzing performance levels, incident and resolution communication with customers and stakeholders, and identifying process improvement opportunities.

 

Lead functional service delivery for end to end GL Rev Rec processes:

  • review, maintenance and validation of status of orders process
  • ensuring proper documentation in place (RRC)
  • follow up on deferred revenue
  • extended warranty
  • post BS and P&L Reclasses
  • performance of balance sheet account reconciliations in order to confirm the accuracy and validity of the process
  • monthly reporting to Corporate
  • performing SOX controls
  • performing monthly statistical reports
  • supporting audits and other business queries.
  • define and manages operational process execution according to service Catalog and service level agreements
  • process accountability for Rev Rec
  • proactively mitigates risks and resolves escalated service incidents
  • manage people development and skills within the service center
  • promote continuous improvement culture and alignment across process teams to ensure operational excellence and serving customers demands
  • liaise in process quality reviews and root cause analysis performed by corporate BPO to initiate continuous improvement initiatives
  • analyze and reviews service performance
  • liaise with other managers on operational execution and CIP
  • recruit, hire, train, develop and effectively manage team and resources
  • perform other duties as required.

Qualificações

  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum 2 years GL team management experience focusing on revenue recognition plus minimum 5 years work experience as a GL Specialist. 
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally in English (written and oral), other foreign languages desirable
  • Advanced experience with U.S. GAAP
  • Advanced computer proficiency with SAP ERP required
  • Excellent oral, written, computer, quantitative, interpersonal communication skills, including SAP ERP and advanced MS Office Suite, Excel, Word, SharePoint. 
  • Proven ability to build strong work relationships between stakeholders, establish teamwork and collaboration within and between groups
  • Effectively communicates vision, strategy, goals and progress
  • Demonstrates attention to details with advanced organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills with ability to interpret data, records, reports
  • Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, then make clear and timely decisions
  • Strong understanding of controls required within an accounting organization.
  • Uses knowledge of the business or processes to anticipate issues and initiate preventative actions
  • Provides steady guidance and seeks additional information for decision-making
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage complex projects with deadlines and key stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced global work environment
  • Advanced organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills with ability to interpret data, records, reports and provide guidance
  • Operates with a high standard of ethics, integrity, and professionalism
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements.
