New opportunity for an Accounts Payable Junior Specialist based in our Porto location, Portugal Business Support Center (BSC). 

AP Junior Specialists support day-to-day operations in guidance of Specialists / Senior Specialists and Team Leader. Supports on assigned process activities. Assist Specialists and Senior Specialists as needed and where appropriate.   

• Execution of operational sub-process according to Team needs Recording of PO and non-PO invoices, trigger approvals;
• Block/unblock invoices on request;
• Ensure invoices are ready for payment (processed and fully approved) in time, support on prioritizing critical suppliers;
• Support on SOX controls as requested;
• Assist on AP reconciliations and period end close activities;
• Proactive resolution of day-to-day issues and escalate service incidents to Senior Specialist;
• Actively look for opportunities to build knowledge around particular activities and task

• BSc. degree on Accounting or Finance or similar;
• entry level and/or experience (0-2 years of experience);
• Good understanding of Accounting principles and Accounts Payable processes (preferable);
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse individuals; 
• Good adaptability, openness and quick perception; 
• Demonstrate ability and willingness to work on initiatives;
• Organizational skills, be open-minded and receptive to change, Actively search for new learning opportunities;  
• Ability to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, support the team on making decisions;
• Self-reliance and ability to escalate appropriately; 
• English (B2) mandatory - additional language is a plus German/French/Spanish/Dutch/Italian (B2); 
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally in written and oral English - and additional language if applicable;
• MS Office knowledge with good Excel skills;
• Basic knowledge of SAP ERP is a plus.
